Golden, CO. We were honored to be a part of the Yeti Beti Fundraiser to benefit the Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA), an organization dedicated to protecting and improving mountain biking on the Colorado Front Range. The several sets of On the Wheel glasses on the silent-auction block were hugely popular, and nicely rounded out the vast range of other fine auction items provided by bulumu, White Girl Salsa, Ergon International, and Feedback Sports.
Fort Collins, CO. The Colorado State University Rams Cycling Club annual Spring Fling fundraiser took a giant leap in scale and scope this year. Held at New Belgium Brewing, it boasted attendance of many hundred, represented by team members, sponsors, fellow athletes, and community supporters. As one of the most popular items, On the Wheel Beer Glasses were quickly bid up among items available at the event's silent auction to help build success and optimism for the present and future years for Rams Cycling.
Fort Collins, CO. A full parking lot at Equinox Brewing. A good problem to have.
Comfy coffee lounge
Naples, FL. Naples Cyclery is not only by itself a really cool bike shop staffed by really nice people, but attached to it is its own full-service coffee lounge and bicycle fitting studio, Fit & Fuel.
The Natural at Velo Vino Napa Valley
March 6, 2012. St. Helena, CA. On the heels of NAHBS in Sacramento, the northern California roadshow with the great folks of Panda Bicycles continued on to Napa Valley wine country. We had a promotional evening at Velo Vino Napa Valley, the bicycle-themed tasting room of Clif Family Winery & Farm, followed by a great dinner in town at La Condesa.
The next morning, we received the privilege of leaving one of Panda's beautiful The Natural bikes on the floor at Velo Vino for visitors to appreciate, where it remains today. Stop in to see it while you're sampling great Clif wines to take back home with you along with Gary & Kit's Napa Valley selections (Rebecca of Panda Bicycles mightily recommends the Toasted Coconut & Cashews), as well as extra virgin Olive Oil.
Also, we heard a rumor that there might be some Velo Vino limited-edition Panda bike models to come in custom colors?
Sacramento, CA. A unique three-way collaboration between Panda Bicycles, Clif Family Winery & Farms, and On the Wheel was on exhibit at Panda's distinctive hand-built bamboo bicycles booth at the 2012 National Handbuilt Bicycle Show (NAHBS), a showcase, marketplace, and celebration of bicycle engineering and culture.
NAHBS' 2012 location in Sacramento was close enough to Napa Valley that we were able to invite many eager show attendees to visit Velo Vino Napa Valley, Clif Family Winery's bicycling-themed tasting room in St. Helena. Look for us again at NAHBS 2013 which will be held February 22-24 at our neighboring metropolis of Denver.
In the meantime, check out coverage at Bicycling Magazine, MTBR, andThe Denver Post of Panda's being featured on The Discovery Channel's How It's Made series.
